Welcome to Pirates! Legends of the Gulf Coast, Texas' only permanent year-round pirate exhibit.
This entertaining attraction dives deep into local pirate lore, especially and legends regarding Jean Lafitte, a 'Frenchman of questionable values'. Lafitte is said to be many things, particularly a man who took New Orleans by storm by helping defend the nation with Andrew Jackson, as well as a man who 'pirated' his way to the Galveston shore.
During your visit to this attraction, you will learn much more about the man considered to be one of the most famous pirates to sail to the Gulf and call Galveston his home. You will also be able to meet resident pirates, visit the fully-stocked pirate-themed gift shop, and even get a chance to see special pirate performances.
