North Carolina Maritime Museum
There’s always something happening at the North Carolina Maritime Museum!
Welcome to the North Carolina Maritime Museum, a waterside museum located in North Carolina's Outer Banks.
This maritime museum features exhibits covering marine life, the seafood industry, pirates, boating, and more. The exhibits within reflect coastal life and interpret lighthouses, life-saving stations, and various boats such as motorboats, steamboats, shad boats, and sharpies. The museum has various studies in marine life, science, and ecology, the information given here appropriate for any aged visitor.
Check out artifacts from Blackbeard's wrecked flagship, Queen Anne's Revenge, such as cannons, grenades, belt buckles, and beads within the Beaufort museum. You can also visit the Harvey W Smith Watercraft Center, which teaches everything about boatbuilding.
The North Carolina Maritime Museum hosts over 200 groups per year, giving excellent group tour planning tools and options.
