Love's Jazz and Arts Center
Located in the Near North Omaha neighborhood, Love's Jazz and Arts Center is a local staple attraction for cultural education and appreciation.
Love's is a cultural center dedicated to founder and namesake Preston Love, a well-known jazz giant in the music genres peak. Your group will be able to learn all about Love's life and career as a musician, some highlighted exhibits focusing on his time playing in different well-known jazz bands for singers such as Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin.
This museum also highlights African American culture of northern Omaha in general, with several exhibits and live performances dedicated to the culture and history of African American music and art in the area. There are various gallery talks, interactive storytelling sessions, workshops, lectures, and guided group tours (by appointment) to take advantage of here, each option an opportunity for more in-depth information on the fascinating local creative culture.
