Everglades Holiday Park is Fort Lauderdale's premier wildlife preserve and theme park, a fun and educational spot that provides up-close animal encounters, shows, and thrilling airboat rides.
Explore 29 acres of wetland here at Everglades Holiday Park, the park's state-of-the-art vessels allowing guests to zip across the 'River of Grass' with a 1-hour long boat tour. After your airboat ride, you will be able to enjoy a live alligator presentation from the famous Gator Boys Alligator Rescue team within the Gator Pit. See stunts and tricks performed as you take in fun facts about the sometimes misunderstood Everglades species.
After the show, you may opt-in for a 45-minute animal encounter with the park residents (tortoises, skunks, raccoons, snakes, pigs, alligators), or maybe grab some lunch from the onsite cafe/deli. Your students can try alligator bites and frog legs, or maybe just play it safe and have a hot dog or chicken fingers while you eat and enjoy the views from under the Banyan trees. Save some time to explore the gift shop and general store before you leave, stocked with fun items such as gator teeth and Gator Boys posters.
