Once inside Universal Orlando the tantalizing smells, beckoning signs, and widely-ranged prices of all the different foods inside can be overwhelming, to say the least, but with this handy guide to the best places to eat at Universal Orlando, it doesn’t have to be!
From budget-friendly and kid-friendly options to exciting dining experiences and really delicious foods, the restaurants below will be perfect for your next trip to Universal, we guarantee it!
Mythos Restaurant -
Islands of Adventure
Voted ‘#1 Theme Park Restaurant in the World’, Mythos tops our list of favorite places to eat at Universal Orlando for two main reasons: 1). You get to eat a delicious meal inside a well-designed cavern setting, right next to the lagoon, and 2). The food is absolutely delicious, featuring a seasonally changing menu with delights such as fresh fish, risotto, steak, and burgers.
Simpsons Fast Food Blvd -
Whether you like the Simpsons or not, you’re going to love dining in Springfield along the Simpsons Fast Food Boulevard in Universal Studios, the entire cafe-style and food truck experience providing you with a wide variety of options themed from the show itself. Try chicken and waffles on a sandwich with maple syrup mayo from Cletus’ Chicken Shack, burgers from Krusty’s, or even fresh tacos from Bumblebee Man’s Taco Truck.
Leaky Cauldron -
It’s hard to not include every single Harry Potter themed eatery within the park on this list, especially because they are each so unique and authentic in their own ways. We’re going to start with the Leaky Cauldron, the fast and fun serviced eatery that serves some of the most delicious British pub fares, from Bangers and Mash and Toad in the Holes to Sticky Toffee Pudding and Firewhiskey! Talk about old English classic!
The Three Broomsticks -
Islands of Adventure
Another muggle-friendly restaurant straight from the pages of JK Rowling herself comes next at Islands of Adventure, the Three Broomsticks! Here you can order authentic fish and chips, wash it down with a butterbeer, and revel in the magical setting surrounding you!
Vivo Italian -
If you are in the mood for some seriously scrumptious Italian classics you need to head to CityWalk’s open kitchen Italian favorite, Vivo’s. Here you can enjoy old country classics with a fresh twist, the eatery serving everything from the freshest hand-tossed salads to the most flavorful clams and marsala.
Finnegan’s Bar and Grille -
Finnegan’s Bar and Grille is a hotspot here that always seems to be everyone’s favorite or at least the most talked about. Finnegan’s is a hard to find quality full-service, sit-down restaurant that serves up simple Irish American fares. Enjoy the soda bread and apple butter appetizer before you get down on such classics as Kilkenny Pot Pie or Irish Fish and Chips.
Lombard’s Seafood -
If seafood is your thing, you’ll have to make a stop at Lombard’s Seafood while here, this eatery modeled after the famous San Francisco eatery of the same name, providing the same signature dishes such as the Fisherman’s Basket and Lobster Corn Bisque. Sit down here and enjoy good-sized portions of Clam Chowder and Fried Seafood as you take in the evening lagoon show, right from your table!
Getting its name from serving the finest in both burgers and sushi, Cowfish is our personal top choice for best places to eat at Universal Orlando. Cowfish will provide you some of the tastiest choices of gourmet burgers, fries, and yes, even sushi. Try the highly popular Crab Rangoon Dip, Truffle Fries, or Spicy Yellowtail Roll. Even the kid's plates are deliciously-plated, so don’t worry about them not having child-friendly fishy options if you are packing a little one!
Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour -
Last on our list we have another Harry Potter classic, Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlour. This muggle-friendly dessert shop serves similar treats as Honeydukes in Diagon Alley, but offers a few things exclusively that you may want to try, such as the soft serve butterbeer! Talk about a refreshing treat! You can also find classic butterbeer, every flavour jelly beans, chocolate frogs, and all the other sweet treat classics from the novel here!
