Top Destinations: Washington, D.C.

For an immersive experience in American history, heritage and growing culture, one destination is the obvious choice. Washington D.C. will provide any group with a one-of-a-kind experience and a rekindled love for the country that fought so hard to let its people be free. Whether you want to learn, pay tribute, or just explore new sights, there is something in our nation's capital for you.

The meeting place of the Senate and House of Representatives for more than two centuries, Capitol Hill should be a top priority for any group. Tour the president's home, and see artifacts, exhibits, short films and sculptures central to the most prominent moments in U.S. history.

Stroll over the National Mall for all your museum and national monument stops. Pay tribute at the Lincoln Memorial to one of our greatest presidents, where countless historical events such as Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream.." speech took place. Step inside for all the Lincoln relics you could possibly imagine. For fans of James Bond or those who want a glimpse into the real world of spies, the International Spy Museum is a must. Telling the history of spies and the real-life practice of espionage in today’s society, the museum includes methods and tools of spies from the Greek and Roman Empires, The American Revolutionary War, The Civil War and both World Wars.

To view a city within a city, make a trip to the Pentagon for a tour of America's Department of Defense. 28 acres serves as headquarters for more than 30,000 military and civilian employees. See the Hall of Heroes, an actual Medal of Honor, the memorial and chapel built to commemorate the September 11th attacks and much more. Bring your walking shoes for this mile-long tour.

To pay tribute to those who have served our country, head to Arlington Cemetary. This 624-acre plot of land is split into 70 sections, with anything from nurses killed in action, military chaplains and those who have been killed in the war on terror since 2001. Witness the changing of the guards at the Tomb of the Unknowns, a memorial to all those who have died in service without their remains being identified. You may also visit the tombs of past presidents and their families, such as the Kennedys.

All of these activities and so much more could fill your group's trip to our nation's capital!
