Deerfield Beach is a 'dynamic coastal community' within Broward County that makes the perfect day trip stop for any group wanting great fishing, beachside fun, shopping and dining opportunities, and amazing Florida seaside views in general.
Deerfield Beach was first established around 1877, getting its name from the numerous deer that roamed the area at the time. Today the spot is considered to be a 'Blue Wave Beach', a designation the beach city received from the Clean Beach Council based on water quality, beach conditions, overall safety, and natural habitat protection.
During your visit stroll the 1-mile stretch of beach, which provides things like surfing and sand volleyball, check out the International Fishing Pier or visit other city attractions such as Quiet Waters Park (longest cable ski course in the nation) and Planet Air Sports (trampoline park and ropes course). There are several excellent shopping and dining experiences throughout the area as well!
*Note: Do not disturb any turtles or turtle nests you see along the beach, you will be heavily fined for this.
