Squaw Valley Adventure Center
An aerial adventure like no other awaits your group at Squaw Valley Adventure Center, one of the area’s most popular outdoor recreation attractions available. Here your group can let loose and have some serious fun, whether it is with individual ropes course adventures, group zip lining, or even half-day team building excursions. Providing a ‘fun, active learning experience for groups and individuals of all ages,’, Squaw Valley will allow your group to see the sights of Reno from a whole new perspective, a much, much higher one!
Inside the park, you will find a mini golf course, a 30’ climbing wall, a Sky-Jump bungee trampoline, various zip line courses, and of course, the aerial ropes course. The ropes course, or ‘aerial trekking’ course, offers beginner and intermediate level pathways, the entire web of challenges including a 50’ Alpine Tower and 16 different platforms. There are 6 total zip lines, each ranging from 40’ to 150’ long, the tree platforms all around 35’ high. After passing the 10 different events and bridges within the course head to the daunting Leap of Faith, the only (and most fun) way to get your feet back on the ground. Before you go be sure to check out the different paths up the Climbing Wall and try to do a summersault 25’ in the air on the Sky-Jump.
Group team building experiences are highly popular here as well, with such options as half-day ropes course challenges, hiking adventures, snowshoeing treks, and even an 'orienteering’ adventure, the latter of which will test your navigational skills with an old school map and compass.
The best thing about the Squaw Valley Adventure Center is it will provide an outdoor recreation outlet for your group no matter what time of the year it is, the winter months offering such activities as snowshoeing and skiing. No matter what time of year you visit be sure to wear closed toed shoes and be prepared to get adventurous.
