Kid Classics

Sloppy Joe's

What kid can resist a good sloppy joe, especially when that sloppy joe is served in a fun oceanfront hangout? At Sloppy Joe's you will have choices of classic Americana foods with a beachy twist such as lobster grilled cheese and chicken taco salad, plus of course the classic Joe and Joe with cheese. Kids always love the Sloppy Nachos, as well.

Old Spanish Sugar Mill

This was a hard eatery to categorize simply because it hits all the other themes in this blog really well; it's a city classic, kid favorite, and delicious dessert-serving Daytona gem. The main draw to this eatery is their pancakes, but not just because the batter is so delicious, but because the batter is served tableside with a griddle in the middle of every table. Order your batter type, toppings (blueberries, chocolate chips, etc), and go to town! There are also breakfast staple foods like bacon and eggs to order as well.

Kids Eat Free

Miller's Ale House

You probably wouldn't choose an ale house at first when considering kid-friendly places to eat, however, this ale house in particular offers excellent Kids Eat Free options each Tuesday. A sports pub filled with bar snacks and classic pub foods will provide your kids a free meal with choices like spaghetti, hot dogs, mac and cheese, and quesadillas with a purchase of one adult meal, in which we highly suggest the boneless Chicken Zingers or any of the Flatbreads. Of course, the ale selection here is nothing to scoff at, if you parents need to unwind a bit.

Kids eat free on Tuesday. So clear the schedule, #familydinner is at our House tonight! #MillersAleHouse

LuLu's Oceanside Grill

LuLu's Oceanside Grill will provide your group with a mellow island vibe alongside fresh catch classics, a true 'beachside jewel' that kids tend to love, especially with free meals each Wednesday night. Enjoy live entertainment, al fresco patio dining, and classics such as lobster mac and cheese, fish tacos, and fish and chips. There are also kid classics such as burgers and fries available.

Tijuana Flats

Kids eat free here at the kitschy Tijuana Flats chain, the eatery with well-recognized colorful muraled walls and classic Tex-Mex fares. Enjoy made from scratch chips, salsa, tortillas, and queso sauce alongside delicious dinners like burrito bowls and Mexican flats. The best part? Kids eat free here each Sunday.

Just Desserts

Angell and Phelps Chocolate Factory

This Just Dessert feature is both a city classic and a kid classic, a local chocolate factory offering some of the best hand-dipped chocolates you'll ever taste, a legacy that began in 1925. Here you will have a chance for a behind the scenes factory tour, the perfect way to show your kiddos how chocolate is made. Enjoy ample samples of the molded novelty chocolates and handmade assortments, some of the most popular items here being the chocolate covered Oreos, bacon, and gummy bears.

Donnie's Donuts

Last but certainly not least on our Kid-Friendly Daytona Beach list is Donnie's Donuts, a highly popular local donut shop offering over 125 delectable donut varieties. You will find an excellent mix of traditional cake and specialty donuts, a clear frontrunner favorite being the staple maple bacon donut. Kids tend to love the more fuflavorsrs such as Orange Dream, Fruit Loops, and Smores.
