Table Rock Welcome Centre
The Table Rock Welcome Centre is located on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, sitting on the bank of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. It serves as a popular retail and observation complex with several outdoor overlooks, perfect for visitors to the area looking to buy some great souvenirs and see the Falls from another angle.
The center got its name after a rock formation that used to sit several hundred feet north of the store, the rock called 'table rock'. It was a large, flat slab that jutted from the top of the gorge wall, but it partially collapsed in 1818, with continual deterioration until 1850 when it finally gave way and crashed down below.
When your group visits the site you will want to save plenty of time to explore the onsite retail mall, the multi-level indoor observation area, and the outdoor overlooks. Explore Table Rock Market, Table Rock Shop, and the Table Rock House Restaurant. The building also serves as the entrance to Journey Behind the Falls and Niagara's Fury and holds ATMs, bathrooms, first aid stations, and Digital Attraction Photo Services. Most of your time will probably be spent out on the observation decks, where millions of visitors enjoy the thrilling first-class view of '2,800 cubic meters of water crashing down'. There is even a covered walkway outdoors so you can enjoy the view in any weather.
