Watch the butterfly movie that plays continuously throughout the day, walk through the many gardens, or take part in one of the programs given for students, families, and adults. Walk through the glass Conservatory where you can find over 60 species of butterflies that constitutes nearly 2000 creatures flying through over 150 types of plants. This phenomenal building is like walking into a tropical rain forest filled with lush foliage and it strikes you as magical with butterflies flying around your head and through the air.
Take a stroll through the Exhibit Hall and learn about Arachnids, view the exhibit Small Wonders to learn about lifestyles and habits of invertebrates, or see live animals at the Aquatic Invertebrates gallery. The Butterfly Garden also hosts several events throughout the year. Make sure you don’t miss March Morpho Mania, October Owls, and Orchids, or December’s Winter Jewels for added education and a symphony of color in the gardens.
