Internationally renowned and nationally beloved, New York’s very own Guggenheim is one of our favorite spots to send group travelers. The Guggenheim is one of the most significant architectural icons of the 20th century, a Fifth Avenue hotspot in the Upper East Side that was designed by none other than the fantastic Frank Lloyd Wright. This modern art museum features an architecturally significant spiral rotunda as well as an outstanding modern and contemporary art collection.
The NYC Guggenheim had design plans laid out in 1943, the original plans calling for a ‘temple of spirit, a monument!’. Much success was seen throughout the entire construction process and today this spot is considered to be a National Historic Landmark as well as a UNESCO stop.
This isn’t the only impressive Guggenheim in the world, though, there are also museums in Venice and Bilbao, with another, highly impressive, museum plan underway for Abu Dhabi.
