Santa Fe Opera
Your group is in for a true treat tonight as you visit the Santa Fe Opera, the famed opera house that features classical pieces and contemporary works inside an iconic hilltop building.
Technically located 7 miles north of Santa Fe, this opera house has quite a striking architectural structure, the dramatic adobe theater 'blending harmoniously with the high desert landscape', giving the building a stunning fusion of nature and art any guest will appreciate. The views are unbeatable, the opera house open to the north, with rugged mountains to the east, rolling hills to the south, and a limitless sunset horizon to the west.
There have been over 2,000 performances of nearly 170 different operas here at the Santa Fe Opera house, including 16 world premiers and 40 American premiers. Some popular titles from the past include Cold Mountain, Thirteenth Child, and The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs. The theater puts on a 'varied repertoire of new, rarely performed, and standard works' regularly.
Your group may be interested in taking a Behind-the-Scenes Tour, a 1-hour public tour showing you the production zones and front of the house, or perhaps a Ranch Tour. There are also Opera Insider Days and Prelude Talks you may be interested in while here. Dining wise, you can choose from Preview Dinners, Tailgate Picnics, Opening Night Dinners, and refreshments sold throughout.
