Titanic, The Experience
While your group cannot tour the infamous "Unsinkable Ship" R.M.S. Titanic, you can visit the next best thing, Titanic, The Experience museum in Orlando, Florida. This beautiful museum offers 17 galleries of authentic artifacts and information with interactive displays so that you may be as close to the real thing as possible. Take a tour guided by actors portraying people who were on the Titanic-like the "Unsinkable" Molly Brown and learn about their lives as well as the lives of others on board the fated ship. Titanic, The Experience possesses 100 of the 5,500 artifacts recovered from the actual sunken ship and they are on display for your education and enjoyment. A three-ton section of the ship's hull, the second largest piece ever recovered known as "Little Big Piece," is part of the tour among other artifacts. Walk down the full-scale replica of the Grand Staircase, view a First Class Cabin, or meander through the Verandah Cafe. The museum puts on dinner events every Friday and Saturday night to take you on private tours, serve you dinner, perform reenactments of the night of April 14, 1912, the night the ship struck the iceberg. Have a cocktail with the captain and discuss the ship or wander through the exhibits while you are waiting for dinner to be served. Holiday events are also given such as the Edwardian Holiday Feast Gala which is an audio-guided tour and a dinner serenaded by Titanic Carolers.
