Welcome, group travelers, to the Museum of Modern Art, otherwise known as MOMA. This highly popular NYC art museum is located in Midtown Manhattan, right along 53rd Street (in between 5th and 6th Avenue). MOMA is so popular because it features works from greats such as Van Gogh, Dali, and Warhol plus a phenomenal sculpture garden, 2 cafes, and the award-winning Modern restaurant on site. This spot is spectacular for groups looking for the real deal art-wise, and looking for an essentially New York City experience.
The ever-evolving collection inside MOMA holds over 200,000 modern and contemporary works, 72,000 of which you can view online and/or use for educational purposes. See such world-famous works as The Starry Night by Van Gogh, The Persistence of Memory by Dali, Christina’s World by Wyeth, and even Sleeping Gypsy by Rousseau.
Each work will astound and inspire you, and each offered tour will fill you with irreplaceable information regarding the history and culture of the works. Groups may schedule an appointment for extended exhibition and educational resources, guided and unguided tours by the pros available to you as well as discounted group admission and k-12 specific learning options.
All that art admiring will work up quite an appetite, so save plenty of time to stop by the 2 Michelin star and 3 New York Times star winning eatery, The Modern, or perhaps Cafe 2 or Terrace 5.
