Miramont Castle Museum
Spend your afternoon exploring an authentic 1890's castle in Manitou Springs, the iconic Miramont Castle!
This castle-turned-museum allows guests to 'get a taste of Victorian' life with its various exhibits, artifacts, and architecture in general. The 14,000 square feet of unique design includes 8 and 16-sided rooms, a grand staircase, rich wood trim, a solarium, and antique decor throughout. There are various exhibits you will find that highlight the history both here and abroad, showcasing artifacts such as war memorabilia, maps, and photos. Outside you will find a delightful summer garden filled with native flora, perfect for photo opportunities.
While here your group may want to stop at the Queen's Parlour Tearoom, serving teas, scones, fresh cream, and the like. Reservations are required for High and Light Tea, but the experience is well worth it! The Miramont Castle Museum holds regular special events as well, such as the popular Friday the 13th Midnight Tour or Emma Crawford's Victorian Wake.
