Cabo San Lucas

Cabo San Lucas

Located on the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula, Cabo San Lucas is rated as one of Mexico’s top five tourist destinations for its beaches, excellent surfing and diving spots, marine life, and cultural attractions. From quaint balnearios, small Latin American seaside villages, to giant entertainment complexes like Sammy Hagar’s Cabo Wabo, Cabo San Lucas has everything you could want for a great vacation.

One of the safest tourist destinations in the world, Cabo San Lucas continues to shine in the eyes of visitors. It also shines daily, receiving roughly 360 days of sunshine a year. Some of Cabo’s most famous tourist attractions owe their allegiance to Mother Nature, like El Arco and the rocky formations of Land’s End. On the very southern tip of the peninsula, you will find Cabo’s most famous photo-op site, El Arco. This 200-foot tall granite monolithic arch rises from the cerulean sea in a magnificent display of natural beauty. Traveling still further along the coast, you will see Los Frailes, The Friars, two grand rock islets that look like hooded monks. The rocks are known hubs for sea lions to rest, sunbathe, and pose for pictures.

The ocean is one of Cabo San Lucas’ main attractions around which many others revolve. The beaches are popular tourist destinations including Playa Medano, the city’s most popular, and Playa del Amor, reportedly Baja’s most famous beach and a supremely romantic spot. During the winter months, from December through April, whales migrate from Alaska down to Baja. Hop on board a whale watching boat and experience the majesty of these great creatures up close. If you can’t make it during the winter months, don’t worry about missing out on Cabo’s other magnificent marine life. Cabo is home to everything from rays to sharks, sea turtles, and tropical fish like mahi-mahi and striped marlin. Cabo San Lucas offers the highest paying marlin fishing tournament in the world if you’re interested in fishing.

Whether you’re interested in Cabo San Lucas for the natural beauty or the exciting nightlife, cultural attractions, or history, you won’t be disappointed with what you find. Surf at Zippers, one of the best spots on the Cabo Corridor, explore the coral reef and underwater wildlife at Cabo Pulmo or dance the night away at one of the clubs at Cabo Wabo.
