Welcome to La Villita Arts Village, the historic site in downtown San Antonio that features galleries, shops, and restaurants all displaying authentic Mexican culture.
Located on the south bank of the River Walk, this 'little village' holds romantic courtyards, spacious plazas, and historic architecture from over 300 years ago. You will see adobe structures, early Victorian structures, and classic Texas Limestone structures. Most historic buildings have a commemorative marker out front so that you can read up on the specific history of each.
The shops you will find sell everything from souvenirs and gifts to authentic pottery, jewelry, and Mexican Folk Art. Two good ones to stop by are Besarte and Bird and Pear. Food wise you will find authentic bold flavors all around, we suggest heading to Fig Tree or the Guadalajara Grill!
