Titanic Museum Gatlinburg
If you are interested in the Titanic, the Titanic Museum is the perfect attraction to visit. The location is considered to be the world’s largest living museum. Guests will have the opportunity to climb aboard the ship as part of the experience. You will also see over 400 artifacts and enjoy interesting interactive displays. Upon entering the museum, visitors will be issued a boarding pass ticket that has a story of an actual passenger of the Titanic. You will follow the passenger’s story as the exhibit continues.
Each of the artifacts shown relates to a passenger or crew member that were aboard the actual ship. At the conclusion of the visit, guests will learn about the fate that befell the passenger that is listed on the ticket. This museum is anchored in the water and towers about 100 feet above the Parkway. The structure is shaped like the Titanic herself but it is scaled down to half the original size.
In the course of the visit, visitors will also have the opportunity to do activities such as walk on an actual size replica of the Grand Staircase, look at pictures that more or less come to life, touch the surface of a simulated iceberg, and steer the ship. You will also visit the Communications Room where guests may be able to send SOS signals and you may even receive communication from the coast guard. The museum also has gallery rooms that have hundreds of historical artifacts. Visitors may also participate in a simulated underwater exploration of the Titanic.
