Southeast Museum of Photography

The Southeast Museum of Photography is known as Florida’s only museum exclusively dedicated to photography, the museum providing a unique opportunity to dive deep into the world of digital and print photography as an art form. The museum is located on the campus of Daytona State College and has been here since opening in 1992.
Inside, your group will find several different permanent and rotating photo exhibits and various aspects of educational programming, the museum working to provide the general community 'a better understanding and appreciation of culture, history, art, and photography'. Explore the various displays as the museum shows you various local artist showcases, former alumni showcases, and youth showcases, as well as famous U.S and International Photographer traveling works.
During the Fall you will have the additional option of attending a film screening at either 2 pm or 6 pm daily, and in both the fall and the spring you will have various educational workshop options while here, some popular current examples including Art in Action: Veterans exploring Visual Arts, and Family Photo Fun Days. The variety of workshops and exhibits presented here will certainly give you one of the widest ranges of artistic photographic knowledge available, from monochrome masterpieces to abstractly captured art.
