The museum has over 3000 square feet devoted to exhibits. The group can examine fascinating artifacts, watch an introductory video on the life of Buffalo Bill Cody, and learn about the story of Buffalo Bill and the Wild West. Group members can check out the Buffalo Bill Story exhibit which contains several rare artifacts. You will find a peace pipe that belonged to Sitting Bull, the head of the last Buffalo shot by Buffalo Bill, and the Stetson hat worn by Buffalo Bill at the last performance prior to his death. There are posters, photographs, and other archival materials that supplement the artifacts in the exhibit. Guests can also listen to early recordings of Buffalo Bill’s voice introducing the Wild West show. Another interesting exhibit is known as Buffalo Bill: The Showman. The exhibit is a chronology of Buffalo Bill as a showman.
The museum hosts special events during the year. One of the events is known as the Annual Mountain Melodies Music Festival. In the course of the event, the group will sit at the gravesite of Buffalo Bill on Lookout Mountain. You and your group mates can take in the spectacular views of the Rocky Mountain Range. You will also enjoy listening to some homegrown American music.
