Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage
Welcome to the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage, the only museum dedicated to diversity and tolerance in northeastern Ohio. This museum works to introduce visitors to the beauty and diversity of Jewish heritage in the context of the American experience. A walk through the halls of this institution will give your group a better understanding of Jewish religion, history, and culture, as well as a large lesson in acceptance and tolerance in general. Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage is actually the premier educational resource for northeast Ohio’s Jewish communities, as well as the general local community.
This lively community space was created in 2005 and consists of thousands of stories of individuals and families from the past and present who have a tie with the Jewish community and/or immigrated to America during the turmoil of the war. The galleries contain state of the art exhibits, interactive, films, oral histories, photos, and personal artifacts. A walking tour of the building will allow your group to get a personal story behind the exhibits from a community member with Jewish heritage, a very personal and unique touch offered at this museum. Get ready for an educational and enlightening visit to the Maltz Museum, and be prepared to come face to face with the stories of immigrants, modern day
