South Carolina Aquarium

The Ocean exhibit, the centerpiece of the aquarium, showcases the two-story 385,000-gallon Great Ocean Tank. You will practically rub noses with sharks and can check out the 220-pound loggerhead sea turtle. The Secrets of the Amazon is a fascinating exhibit area where visitors will travel to the Amazon in South America and see a variety of creatures that call the Amazon Rainforest home. You can check out creatures such as the electric eel, the green toucan, the meat-eating piranha fish, stingrays, and the giant anaconda.
