Hopkins Bay Beach Time -  Welcome to Hopkins Bay, the laid-back beachfront village that boasts several colorful homes, local eateries, postcard-worthy beachside scenes, and the centerpiece of the beach scene, the Hopkins Bay Beach Resort. Here you can sit in brightly colored wooden villas overlooking the flawless Caribbean, as the resort sits on the far north end of the village complete with gorgeous free-standing villas situated around two sparkling pools and a poolside Drum Bar and Rhum Shack. This picture-perfect tropical bar is a true shady oasis, the type of scene that mirages are made of. Just grab a hammock, lay your feet in the sand, and enjoy the palm-shaded picnic areas all around you. Join some locals in beach volleyball or swim away from your worries, you can even rent a boat or kayak to really see all the local waters have to offer you. If you work up an appetite after your beach time head to the nearby Driftwood Beach Bar and Pizza Shack on the north end, the perfect spot to fill your belly!

Bocawina Adventures & EcoTours - Located in the Southern District of Stann Creek your group will find your next exciting adventure, Bocawina Rainforest Resort, and Belize Adventures. Within this entire adventure region, you will find over 7,100 acres of lush jungle, tropical waterfalls, and even majestic ancient Mayan sites, the perfect combination of learning, fun, and thrilling outdoor adventure all in one! One of the coolest things about this resort is that it runs entirely on alternative energy! This off-the-grid adventure hideaway runs purely on solar and hydro-powered energy, a true eco-oasis in the midst of the Belizean tropical jungle. On-site you can ride the longest zip line in all of Belize, climb, rappel, and admire the five different local waterfalls, explore some unexcavated Mayan ruins, or take part in some serious birding, this area knowing over 200 different species of local birds. Offsite your group can take part in a jungle horseback ride, extensive ruin tours, cave tubing, and even trips to the extremely fun local Belize Zoo!

Local Dinner - Garifuna Cooking Experience - For dinner you and your group will really connect with the locals and get a true taste of Belize, so to speak, with the Garifuna Cooking experience. Chef Gloria will come directly to your room’s kitchen in the resort and coordinate a private cooking demonstration, or you can book a dinner through the Taste Belize Food and Culture Tours. Either way, you will be in for a treat as you get a private, personal cooking lesson on traditional Belizean cuisine, the absolute best way to dine while here at Hopkins. The beautifully and colorfully dressed Garifuna women will prepare a signature specialty while explaining further their people's past culture and history in Belize, as well as present traditions and future in the country. While the dishes change nightly, the ingredients all seem to remain the same, Belizean staples of local and fresh coconut milk, fish, cassava, garlic, black pepper, and plantain.

Day 2 -

Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Reserve - Begin your beautiful Belizean morning at the nearby lush haven that holds the world’s largest concentration of jaguars, the gorgeous Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Reserve. This nature reserve is located in the Stann Creek District of South Central Belize, a completely unique local sanctuary covering a truly spectacular 150 square miles of tropical forest land. This is the world’s only official jaguar preserve, established in 1986. Cockscomb Basin is rich in both beauty and wildlife and also Maya culture. This area once held a well-concealed minor Maya ceremonial site, Chucil Baluum, a site typical of the classic Mayan period within the surrounding Cockscomb Mountain Range. Among the surrounding ranges, you will also see the highest peak in all of Belize, the 3,675 foot Victoria Peak. This is truly the perfect setting for exploration and adventure!

Travel to Punta Gorda - 2 Hours

Gomier’s Best - Once you make it to Punta Gorda, the locally-loved small town on the West Coast of the Caribbean Sea in southern Belize, you will have by no doubt worked up an appetite, which is why your next stop is Gomier’s! Gomier’s Restaurant and Soy Center is a vegetarian and seafood shack owned and operated by Chez Gomier, an interesting man that likes to go by the motto "health is wealth." This eatery has been voted as TripAdvisor’s number one dining destination in Punta Gorda, the perfect place to be introduced to the city scenery and vibe, be immersed into its local culture, and fill your bellies on some truly delicious and authentic local foods! Explore the rustic chalkboard menu filled with interesting vegan and vegetarian items that even the pickiest eater will find delightful, such as vegetarian lasagna, burritos, and pizza, or for the more adventurous fried tofu curry, BBQ tofu, or brown rice casserole, just save plenty of room for soy ice cream for dessert!

Day 3 -

Punta Gorda City Market -Punta Gorda will offer you some truly amazing sights, smells, and sounds, from the seemingly endless ocean-side vistas and postcard perfect beach views to the sounds of local life and smells of delicious local foods. The latter will make up your first stop, at the local city market that lines the sides of the colorful main streets with local farmers, each selling the best area fruits, vegetables, baked goods, and often times even local flowers. After seeing all you can in the market areas head to any of the local Punta Gorda chocolate stores, the city part of the Cacao trail and boasting several authentic and delicious chocolate hotspots such as Ixcacao Maya, Maya Mountain Cacao, or Cotton Tree Chocolate. Cotton Tree is a unique small-batch factory boasting daily tours and mouth-watering samples located at the entrance of the town, or "center of the chocolate universe," and will provide you with products fresh from 40%-70% cacao, some rum and coconut-filled and others Mayan spice and chai-filled!

Cacao Trail Tour - End your amazing Belize adventure still within the gorgeous Toledo District with an authentic Taste Belize or Ixcacao Chocolate Tour. Take the Cacao Trail in all of its original, cultural, historic, and truly delicious splendor in your best-hiking boots and prepare yourselves for some of the tastiest and most interesting chocolate experiences. Ixcacao Chocolate is the original Maya Chocolaterie, a true full-sensory experience when it comes to discovering, learning about, sampling, and making fresh chocolate beans and bars. You will be able to partake in many various samples and Maya style hot chocolate, but until then take in all the wonderful nature-filled experiences. Your group will start the delicious Cacao Trail excursion with a 1.5-hour jungle trek, each step full of the cacao fruit-bearing trees alongside much hidden Maya history and tradition!
