Caladesi Island State Park
Caladesi Island State Park holds one of the few untouched islands left along the Gulf Coast, this natural paradise accessible only by boat.
Your group will find pristine beaches, gorgeous mangrove forest, old-growth slash pines dotted with live oaks, and so much more during your visit. Naturally speaking, you could spend all your time exploring the various wonders throughout, such as the reefs formed by oysters, the thick red mangroves, and the local animals such as blue herons, ospreys, and gopher tortoises. There is a nice 3-mile trail you can hike, leading to the historic Scharrer Homestead. You can also fish, swim, picnic, or paddle during your visit, the paddling trail beginning and ending at the marina and cafe.
Speaking of the cafe, you can enjoy foods such as fish and chips, burgers, and drinks, as well as a fun little gift shop, thanks to Florida Beach Services and the Caladesi Island Ferry!
