Niagara Jet Adventures
For one of the biggest thrills in Western New York, you MUST visit Niagara Jet Adventures, located just blocks away from Old Fort Niagara.
Niagara Jet Adventures is a whitewater historic river boating experience that takes you through the legendary Niagara Gorge Devil's Hole class 5 rapids. While off-limits, there are also class 6 rapids nearby that you will get to sneak a peek at, the rapid speeds reaching 20 mph and considered to be some of the most extreme in the entire world.
360-degree spins and deeply angled turns will give you quite the thrill as you soak it all in on the wet deck, or watch it all unfold from the climate-controlled cabin. There are even 2 co-pilot seats on each boat for those who want the thrill of it all up close and personal.
(We personally did the wet deck and were certainly not disappointed with the outcome. A change of clothes is going to be necessary afterward, though.)
Your ride will last anywhere from 45 to 60 minutes, the quiet yet ultra-powerful boat combing the Niagara River and rapids easily with its 3 marine power Cadillac CTSV motors, giving it a total of 1650 horsepower. While this may sound a bit scary, don't worry, the experienced captains have all trained in rapids, have a 100% safety record, and are US Coast Gaurd Certified.
