Locks Erie Canal Cruises
When your adult group visits Niagara Falls, you should consider embarking on one of the Locks and Erie Canal Cruises as part of the experience. Lockport has been in operation for 25 years. They offer visitors a variety of cruises and other activities. Group members of all ages will enjoy the unforgettable cruise and see interesting sights in the area.
Lockport's Erie Canal Cruises are two hours in length. In the course of the experience, the group will be raised in the only double set of locks on the Erie Canal. The team will pass under bridges that raise straight up, see water cascade over Lockport’s famous flight of five 1840s locks, and travel through the solid walls of the rock-cut. The captain will describe the architecture, sights, and folklore as part of the experience. Group members will have the opportunity to take photos of the sights on the cruise. Travel on the Erie Canal is peaceful and visitors can enjoy the natural beauty while you are cruising. You may see things such as fruit trees in bloom, beautiful wildflowers, magnificent colors, and Lockport’s Memorial Tree Garden in Lowertown.
Lockport's Canalside is a two-building complex that is located on the banks of the Grand Erie. The group can enjoy the food at the Canalside Cafe. You can also check out the Canalside Gift Shop which contains Erie Canal, Lockport, and nautical gifts, clothing, and books. The Coast Guard vessel offers guests a relaxing environment. There are snacks and licensed beverages onboard available for you to purchase.
