Welcome to the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, the art gallery/multi-use warehouse space filled with state of the art visual exhibits, lecture space, and onsite work residence programs.
This popular contemporary arts center is located within the historic Old Market District and plays a critical role in the presentation and understanding of contemporary art in Omaha, as well as Nebraska as a whole. The center was established in 1981 'by artists, for artists', and it
supports today’s artists through an international artist-in-residence program, temporary exhibitions and commissions, and innovative public programs. - Bemis Center
The exhibits you will find within are both solo and group exhibits, including art in all mediums by local, national, and even international artists. There are public programs scheduled regularly, the various classes, workshops, and ARTalks providing a regular opportunity for the public to learn and be inspired by visual arts.
Your group can make a reservation (or rather, we will make the reservation) for a one hour guided tour for more detailed information during your visit.
