Having grown from an exhibit at the 1963 State Fair of Texas, the Museum of the American Railroad quickly became a state favorite and is now a staple among educational destinations. See giant locomotives that once zigzagged the country in the golden age of trains, see both passenger and freight trains, cabooses, a tower and a depot built in 1905.
