Buffalo Naval Park
Welcome to the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park, or Buffalo Naval Park for short, the popular naval museum that sits on the shore of Lake Erie in Buffalo. This park is considered to be the largest inland Naval Park in the country and it works to 'support respect, tolerance, collaboration, and understanding'.
This military museum allows guests to tour 4 decommissioned naval vessels that served in a variety of conflicts through our nation's history, see various tanks and jets on-site, and view several different historical exhibits covering different aspects of our nation's naval history. You will be taken inside our nation's military history as you experience in-depth tours of the naval vessels and displays throughout. See the USS Little Rock, the last surviving ship from the Cleveland-Class of light cruisers, the USS The Sullivans, only 1 of 4 remaining examples of a Fletcher-class of destroyers, the USS Croaker, a Gato-Class submarine, and the PTF-17, one of 20 fast patrol boats from the Nasty-Class.
Be sure to save plenty of time to visit the theater in the Field Tent and watch an informational video, visit the Maritime Simulator, see the Monuments Garden up-close, and check out the hundreds of military artifacts such as uniforms, tools, and medals before you go.
