Ski Santa Fe
Ski Santa Fe, or the Santa Fe Ski Basin, is a great place for groups to enjoy quality outdoor recreation whether in winter ski season or summer hiking season!
Located 16 miles from downtown Santa Fe, this popular ski location is open each late November to early April. With a base elevation of 10,350 feet, Ski Santa Fe offers opportunities to 'cruise the perfect groomers or explore the extensive gladed runs'. There is truly something for everyone here, with various terrain options such as The Boneyard freestyle park, PSIA certified Snow Sports School lessons, and snow sports rentals all onsite. The entire ski area is 660 acres, with 86 runs which break down to 20% beginner, 40% intermediate, and 40% expert.
Head to La Casa Lodge for tickets, rentals, lessons, shopping, a coffee bar, and a food court, the food court serving up pizza, pasta, paninis, soups, and bbq items. Adults may want to warm up at Totemoff's Bar, as well.
When Ski Santa Fe is closed for the season you can still enjoy the gorgeous forested grounds by taking a hike on any of the 35 miles of trails here. You will see mountain wildflowers, pine, aspen, and ferns along the way, and you may even catch a glimpse of local wildlife like deer, chipmunks, elk, bears, or mountain lions. The most popular hiking trail is Aspen Vista, as well as Nambe Lake Trail and Alamo Vista.
