Smith Berry Farm - The Smith Berry Farm was established first in 1978, as a humble yet locally loved U-pick raspberry farm in Hillsboro. Today this 30-acre family farm offers much more than just berries, the farm as a whole offering a wide variety of fresh produce, local food items, gardening tools, and educational items, and even various seminars and workshops to help locals plant their own bountiful harvests. Your group will learn about the farming practices used here, sustainable agriculture in general, as well as the farm’s personal goal to provide the freshest, highest quality produce in the local market.
SakeOne - SakeOne, or what first began as Japan American Beverage Company, is the unique sake importer and marketer that began in Forest Grove in 1992. As of now, SakeOne has won more awards than any other sake company in the United States (one of 6 total) and currently stands as the only producer in the state! Here your group will have the opportunity to take a brewery tour and learn all about how sake is made, from rice polishing, steaming, adding mold and yeast bacteria, to the all-important fermentation process.
Oregon Orchard Hazelnuts - The Oregon Orchard is a vast hazelnut orchard that is known across the country for its online and on-site store, The Growers Store. This orchard is known as the place to get quality hazelnuts, a company that began as a small coop of Oregon hazelnut growers in 1984 and quickly turned into the largest supplier of quality Oregon hazelnuts in North America. This orchard takes pride in its age-old tradition of growing and harvesting quality hazelnuts on site and is backed by strict Oregon grade standards and frequent USDA inspections. There is no better place to go nuts (hazelnuts that is) than here at the Oregon Orchard!
Vertigo Brewing - Welcome to the Vertigo Brewery, the microbrewery in Hillsboro known for fruit beers, English ales, and their large no-frills taproom. Established in 2008, this brewery has been closely guided by the owners’ over 15 years of beer crafting experience, a craft that shows in all of its regionally celebrated products. The popular Vertigo Taproom was opened in 2012, featuring a rotation of standard and seasonal offerings such as the TBD, Uno Mas, Razz Wheat, Arctic Blast, Vanilla Porter, Smokestack Red, and Friar Gone Wild.
Cruise In Country Diner - End your culinarily adventurous day here at the extremely fun Cruise In Country Diner. This diner gives the classic feel of a 1950s-60s diner, complete with extensive classic car decor from the era. Try the ‘57 Chevy Burger, topped with Tillamook cheddar and bacon, the Hemi Challenger, the T-Bird Chicken Sandwich, the Lambo Burger, or the Model T Burger. If you are in the mood for something healthier try the mahi-mahi, lamb, buffalo, or alpaca salads. Still not satisfied? Pair any burger with the popular thick blackberry shakes for the ultimate Cruise in Country diner experience.
