Your group will climb just under 200 steps to reach the top of the Old Cape Henry Lighthouse on Fort Story military base for an amazing view. Dating back to the 1700s this great stone tower is rich with history and was constructed as one of the first works of the new Federal government under the authorization of George Washington.
A new, operational lighthouse has been built nearby, yet this beacon still stands as a reminder of the first landing of Jamestown settlers the century prior. A guided walking tour and gift shop are also available to maximize your team’s appreciation for one of the country’s oldest lighthouses.
