Jackson Hole (Wyoming): It is no surprise that Jackson Hole comes in the number 1 spot for those who are wanting to ski this winter. With an average of over 500 inches of snowfall annually, this spot has some seriously legendary slopes! Jackson Hole holds all the skiing favorites such as cliffs, trees, chutes, bowls, and groomers and is mainly utilized by the more advanced skiers. Actually, half of the mountain is reserved for the experts only, then 40% is for the intermediates, and 10% is for beginners. Be aware, this is a very popular spot so it could get a bit crowded during your groups visit!

Telluride (Colorado):  Coming in as a close 2nd is Telluride Ski Resort. The resort offers 2,000 acres of skiing including everything from kid-friendly skiing to rough and rugged skiing. Telluride gets roughly 300 inches of snowfall annually and has been said to have the most' Insta-worthy' scenery. There aren't very many lift lines here, making one of the best places for beginners to learn how to ski. An added benefit is that travelers can learn to ski without the high-pressure atmosphere you typically get atop a mountain.

Vail (Colorado): It might be the 3rd best place to ski in the winter, but it is the number 1 biggest skiing area in Colorado, averaging 354 inches of snow annually! Vail prides itself on not just having impeccably groomed slopes, but for also having a lot to do off the slopes. The Snowboarding Museum re-opened its doors after a 2.6-million-dollar renovation. As far as slopeside scenery goes, Vail has been consistently labeled as “Picture Perfect" by locals and guests.

Aspen Mountain (Colorado): Although this mountain ski resort has been around for nearly 70 years, it's charm never gets old! Aspen Mountain is one of the prettiest mountains in the U.S. and has four distinct skiing areas that can all be accessed under one ticket. They have efficient lift systems and magnificently groomed slopes. The snowfall is a little inconsistent but that doesn’t stop the fun, even the celebrities visit this resort often! If you have the luxury of visiting Aspen Mountain it will certainly be a trip you won’t forget.

Snowbird (Utah): Snowbird isn’t just one of the most well-known areas for hosting skiing competitions, it is also one of the most difficult skiing resorts in the U.S. Snowbird has epic terrains and has been said to have the best snow on earth. If you go to a north-facing slope you will find the famous “Utah Powder” that they receive mass amounts of annually. Here in Snowbird, you will find the expert skiers, highly efficient lift systems, and long skiing seasons, perfect for the more serious skiers in your group!

Beaver Creek (Colorado): Beaver Creek lands on the top of the lists for their perfect snow conditions and world-class slope grooming. Here you will find one of the newest luxury resorts as well, ensuring a great time both on and off the slopes. If you don’t like long lines, then this is the spot for you! They have extremely efficient lift systems with noticeably shorter lines than some resorts. Beaver Creek also serves free complimentary chocolate chip cookies every afternoon! Yum!
