Young and old alike will delight in learning about and experiencing all facets of science firsthand from fossils to the future of the earth, DNA to the cosmos.
A truly interactive environment, the St. Louis Science Center is built on the idea that science is interesting, fun, and all around us making it an important subject for daily education. And education should be exciting! Learn with all of your senses at exhibits such as Makerspace where you can learn how science works and why with interactive games, displays, and more. Be a paleontologist and dig up dinosaurs at the Dana Brown Fossil Prep Lab and Dig Site and go deep inside the genetics of your own bodies at Genome: Unlocking Life’s Code. Here you can learn how scientists are studying why humans get diseases, how to cure fatal illnesses, why humans have evolved the way we have, and more through the science of genetics.
Visit the OMNIMAX theater for a fully immersive experience like nothing you’ve seen before. This five-story dome stretches almost 360 degrees around to make for a truly surrounding movie experience that’s bigger than an IMAX.
After you’ve seen everything, head to the Planetarium and catch a star show, a video of the universe, and tour exhibits set up about the stars and planets of our galaxy. See how the night sky would look without light pollution and how the stars would look to our ancestors centuries ago.
