Pier 60
Clearwater Beach's Pier 60 is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the city, this 1080 foot fishing pier and recreation park providing guests with access to some of the best fishing along the bay, as well as a Bait House, picnic pavilions, and nightly festivals.
Whilst fishing here you will have luck catching Spanish Mackeral, Silver Trout, Snook, Red Fish, Tarpon, Snappers, and Flounder. Anglers love this pier for night fishing, due to great lighting. In the park part of the pier, you will find one of the largest beach playgrounds on the gulf, as well as regular events such as Sunset Cinema, free outdoor movie showings on the weekends.
During the nightly festivals, or 'Sunsets at Pier 60', you will see various artisans, crafters, and buskers doing things like fire breathing, escape art, stilt walking, painting, and magic. The festival starts nightly 2 hours before sunset and lasts until 2 hours after. This tradition began in 1995 and has only grown in influence since then.
Check out the Sugar Sand Festival on Pier 60, happening around April 15-24 annually.
