Lauritzen Gardens
The Lauritzen Gardens are Omaha's premier botanical gardens, the botanical center supporting several local and exotic plant and tree species, as well as an impressive arboretum, deliciously fresh cafe, and sophisticated garden gift shop.
The garden grounds provide a relaxing 'escape to an urban oasis', the 100 acres featuring tranquil seasonal exhibits and regular educational programs and courses. Your group can choose children and family focus classes, school-based educational courses, or even adult group information sessions and demos. The adult programs range from such topics as arranging centerpieces to new garden techniques.
Take a walk around the gardens and discover tower palms and oaks, native grasses, and relaxing flower-lined walkways. Visit the Marjorie K Daugherty Conservatory, Oberman Bird Sanctuary, and Hitchcock-Kountze Victorian Garden before you go. Some specific garden favorites include the English Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, Exotic Conservatory Collection, and Model Train Garden.
There is no better place in Omaha to experience incredible education and aesthetics, environmental stewardship practices, and unique 4-season plant displays!
