East Tennessee History Center
Welcome to the East Tennessee History Center, the prime place to find informational and entertaining regional history, located in the heart of Knoxville. Here you will find regional history preserved in permanent and visiting exhibits, each containing authentic artifacts, art, and Civil War items. There are many programs and exhibitions that take place weekly here, each uniquely tailored to eastern Tennessee. The geography of this part of the state is all mountains and valleys dotted with the most unique history and heritage. This museum works very closely with the Eastern Tennessee Historical Society, or ETHS, to engage the public in the interest of history, as well as to bring the very best workshops, conferences, and lectures.
