Aerospace Museum of California

Located in the North Highlands, this former air force base turned aviation museum is one Aerospace_Museum_of_Californiaof the most unique educational spots to visit during your Sacramento outing. Open daily from 9 am to 4 pm, the Aerospace Museum of California allows guests to explore various plane exhibits, spacecraft, cockpits, and high-tech simulators, the entire collection easily being  ‘one of the aviation's greatest showcases’. Throughout the museum, your group will be able to discover the past, present, and future of aerospace, with over 37,500 square feet of space to cover throughout(pun intended).

The Herdie Setzer Pavilion holds an exhibit hall and a 4-acre airpark with over 50 historic aircraft, some of the most popular examples here including the C-53 D-Day aircraft, A-10 Thunderbolt, and ‘Top Gun’ F-14 Tomcat. You’ll also want to see the Voodoo and Warthog as you make your way through the various other military and civilian fighters, trainers, transports, and biplanes. Group and school tours are available daily, as are rides aboard the Morphis Simulator and Flight Zone Flight Simulator.
